Introduction

Hi, my name is Andre and I've been a wedding videographer in Vancouver BC for the past 10 years. I have experience as a cameraman and editor for a TV show called On Screen, but I started filming weddings because I noticed that the wedding photography and videography industry is flawed and I wanted to provide people with a different option. Let me explain...

 Paparazzi - Less is More

I figured out most couples want a video that captures just the main events of the wedding edited together professionally with an artistic touch. Most wedding photographers and videographers charge so much money because they put a lot of unnecessary workload into the project. A couple of questions you should ask yourself are... do you really want a photographer to take 2000 photos on your wedding day? Do you really want a videographer to roll 6 hours of footage? This is the industry standard these days and unfortunately it is held in place to inflate the price-tags attached to the high volume workload.

What most wedding photographers and videographers fail to realize is that their quality of photography and video will improve by focusing on quality and not quantity. 2000 photos and 6 hours of video is exhausting for the photographers, videographer and especially the wedding couple. It's quite an amazing phenomenon, and this may seem like a very general comment,  but I have found that the less video I roll thoughout the day, the more selection of great shots I find in my footage.

The Infiniheart Format

On average, I shoot about 2-3 hours of video at a wedding. This dramatically reduces my workload during the wedding day and in the editing room (reducing the price-tag for my clients). In turn, if gives me more energy during the wedding day to capture quality shots. Also, it gives more energy for the wedding party because they don't have to be "on" all the time.

Too much paparazzi can drain the life of a party, and be a distraction during sacred events... the Infiniheart format respects this theory and focuses on a more subtle way of filming weddings.

 Wedding Video Vault

Currently I am going through 10 years of wedding videos to show everyone my most memorable moments from the weddings I've worked at. I think it will be a fun project to list what really makes a wedding memorable and why it's important to have a video... but not a glamorized video.

Join me week after week as I dig into my video vault one moment at a time. Let me know if you have any questions.

A Pastor's 5 Key Points About Marriage

I always listen to a wedding ceremony when I'm filming. For some reason it's never the same old thing and there's always something new that I learn. Fr. Augustine Obiwumma is a pastor at the St. Matthew's Parish in Surrey, BC and I had the pleasure of learning his 5 key points to a successful marriage. This was filmed back in 2005 but for some reason, I am still able to remember all 5 points when I mention his name in a conversation. I don't usually try to preach to people, but if there was one thing I could let my couples know before they get married, I recommend listening to Father Augustine's 5 points. His profound words will definitely help along any journey of marriage. He truly is inspiring!

Most Memorable Dance #1 - Lana

Lana - Bellydancing
Lana is a good friend of mine. I first met her at a friend's wedding and she was so spectacular that I had to introduce myself to her. Last year, she showed up at another one of my weddings by surprise and I caught a magical moment of her getting the crowd really going just before the first dance.

I really like how Lana tries to make a connection with people. I've noticed that she looks for eye contact and encourages the crowd to get out of their chairs and join her in the dance.

You can contact her at lanadance.com if you want her to come dance at your wedding!
